Robert Barnette has been working with the Hanover County NAACP for over 20 years and has served as President for the Hanover County NAACP for more than 7 years.

Barnette has helped to coordinate and execute annual VSC General Assembly Lobby Day and lobbying activities during the 2016 session. He introduced community mentoring programs to increase community awareness in branch activities, boost NAACP membership, and promote civic engagement. Barnette also coordinated activities for 2017 Gubernatorial Forum at Virginia Union University.

  • Revitalization and Charter new Units if needed (Smart Membership Growth Strategies)
  • Increase VSC Corporate Partners Program (Financial Stability)
  • Promote Civic Engagement Legislative Advocacy)
